The 52nd Annual STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018
(always the second Saturday of June)

The Gales Creek Strawberry Festival started as a fund raiser,
with the purpose of sending children to church camp.
The women of the church made strawberry shortcake
and many members of the community came to enjoy a great dessert
and to relax with friends and neighbors.
Today, the Strawberry Festival still has the primary purpose
of sending children to church camp, but also raises funds for other ministries
and projects, as well as the maintenance of the church building and grounds.
New projects are funded every year.
The same wonderful strawberry shortcake is served as it has been since the beginning.
The women of the church still use the same secret "family" recipe for the shortcake.
They won't even tell the pastor what's in it!
